Commercial, CFI, & CFII Add Ons: (Please find estimates at bottom.)
After completing a multi-engine commercial instrument check ride in our Twin Comanche, the candidate returns for brief training for the single-engine commercial in our Club Tampico, which is the simplest and most economical aircraft that we operate. Unlike the initial commercial and CFI check rides, add-ons do not have to be performed in retractable gear aircraft. The bulk of the Single Engine commercial training is spent learning three new maneuvers: Lazy 8's, Chandelles, and 8's on Pylons. Candidates should already be comfortable performing stalls and steep turns and short and soft field landings from previous training and time building in the Tampico.
Training for the CFI and CFII add-ons are also completed on our single engine Tampico aircraft after an initial MEI is obtained on the Seneca. The CFI training focuses on teaching Private and Commercial maneuvers while flying from instructor's seat on the right side of the airplane. CFII training reviews all aspects of instrument proficiency while explaining and flying from the right side of the airplane. As in the instrument training, home use of a flight simulator is very beneficial for CFII self preparation.
